She works as a pharmacy technician for a leading drug store chain to earn the extra income to commute from Conyers, GA, into midtown Atlanta.

Early Life and Education
Breyonna Stephens grew up in Conyers, GA, in a household where academics were highly stressed. Her early start in reading charged her with a lifelong love of books and continues to fuel her goal of becoming a journalist. She attended Rockdale Career Academy, where her writing skills were noted for the clarity of her views and the detail in which she described complex subject matter.
While always on the A/B honor roll for academic excellence, Breyonna excelled in her secondary education, graduating with a 3.5 GPA. A well-rounded and versatile student, Stephens completed four years of Vocal Arts training and 3 years of Veterinary Science classes with the prospect of possibly working to help pets and wildlife animals thrive.
An active participant in the Interact Rotary Sponsored club, Breyonna participated in projects to help the school and community foster leadership skills on the international stage. She was also a member of the Beta Club, which recognizes and nurtures a select group of high academic achievers who also exhibit worthy character. On numerous occasions, Stephens was awarded Outstanding Academic Achievement and gained her high school diploma in May 2018.
Immediately upon graduation, Breyonna Stephens began working hard at Georgia State University in 2018, majoring in journalism. Here she is developing the skills it takes to not only research current events effectively but also to write concisely for a range of journalist mediums, including print, broadcast, digital, and trade magazines.

Contact Representative (Internal Revenue Service)
As a contact representative at the Internal Revenue Service, Breyonna provided technical assistance to IRS customers, primarily through telephone exchange in a dynamic call center environment and/or face-to-face contact.
Pharmacy Technician (CVS/Pharmacy)
In the role of CVS Pharmacy Technician, Breyonna Stephens was responsible for creating genuine human connections while adhering to the CVS purpose of helping people on their path to better health by engaging customers to learn about their health and medications.
Sales Associate (Ross)
A dedicated sales associate at Ross, Breyonna organized merchandise and remained aware of activities on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone. She also worked to maintain a clutter-free retail environment, working to fulfill her responsibility of correcting any unsafe conditions or practices. She dutifully reported such instances to store leadership.
Sales Associate (Macy’s)
During her tenure at Macy’s, Breyonna was responsible for handling cash and credit card purchases, maintaining store merchandise, and greeting customers in a way that positively reflected the Macy’s brand. In this role, she proved herself proficient in point of sales procedures and adhering to Macy’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) policies that ensured a friction-free customer experience.
Sales Associate (Rainbow)
At Rainbow, Breyonna completed multiple in-store tasks, ranging from greeting customers, tagging merchandise, and dressing store mannequins to helping customers and selecting appropriate outfits, including style and fit.
Personal Life
Breyonna Stephens is a single mother with a deep passion for reading and writing that she impresses upon her young child. Stephens won a school-wide writing contest in her senior year of high school. Today, she continues to write by sharing noteworthy views on motherhood, fashion, black culture, and current events on her social media pages as a way of practicing and improving her writing skills.
